I began my career in Public Safety almost 20 years ago with the High Point Police Department. I had the privilege of working with their Records Division and on their Patrol Division as a Police Officer. In September 2002, I transitioned to the Communications world by joining Guilford County Communications, which ultimately became Guilford Metro 9-1-1. As a result of that transition, I found my true calling: 9-1-1. I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey with Guilford Metro 9-1-1 thus far, and am proud to be the Operations Manager for the Emergency Communications Division.
It is my honor to receive a nomination for the NC Chapter of APCO’s 2nd Vice President position. To be considered for this position by my peers within this great profession is incredibly humbling.
I believe that my experience moving up through the ranks of the 9-1-1 profession has given me an exceptionally broad understanding of the wants and needs of those in our field. I believe that I can add to the great work our North Carolina representatives have already contributed to the future of 9-1-1, especially those with a focus on peer support.
Having worked alongside the NC NENA Chapter Executive Board as their Central Region Representative for the last few years, I believe that I can continue to foster the working relationships between the two Chapters.
I started my membership in APCO as an Assistant Supervisor. When I transitioned to the role of Operations Manager, I became more involved and obtained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the association and all it does for 9-1-1, from the front line to management. Having seen firsthand what our NC Chapter does for the association and the profession, I am excited to expand my participation and knowledge by serving as the next 2nd Vice President.
I respectfully and humbly ask for your vote to elect me as the NC Chapter of APCO 2nd Vice President. It will be my distinct honor and privilege to serve the organization and all of our North Carolina 9-1-1 professionals.
Hello everyone. I’m David Dodd, and I’m just finishing my first term as the Executive Council Representative for the N.C. Chapter of APCO. I have submitted my name for your consideration, for a second term on the Executive Council.
These first two years have been a whirlwind learning experience. It has been a pleasure getting to know my counterparts across the country, and the procedures governing the Executive Council. I have served two years, as one of two East Coast Regional representatives, on the Management Committee. One of the primary tasks of the Management Committee is to approve the agenda, and preside over the Executive Council meeting at the annual International Conference. Another priority is to provide training for new Executive Council members when needed, through a webinar.
In closing, I have enjoyed my first term on the Executive Council, and am proud and honored to represent the N.C. APCO Chapter. I hope you will allow me the opportunity to represent you for the next two years.
As a Board Member, I would work to ensure that we continue to support and embrace every 911 professional across the state. I would advocate for increasing awareness and impact of our organization through digital platforms. I would also advocate for more development of clear policies and programs that cultivate greater diversity in our membership and leadership and ensure that there is room in our organization for individuals with many backgrounds and perspectives to grow. Finally, I would work to expand efforts that would bring our rich collective work on policy, education, & training of our organization to the forefront of everything we do.
I am honored to be nominated for the position as Regional Ambassador for Region C of the North Carolina Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials. I am very grateful for being selected as a candidate and if elected I will do my best to represent NC APCO and my agency to the best of my abilities.
I understand the commitment needed and I am excited about the possibility of becoming a representative for the NC APCO Board. I have over twenty eight years of experience in public safety and I have witnessed firsthand how our profession continues to evolve. Throughout my career I have worked as a 911 telecommunicator, Telecommunicator for Airlink / Vitalink at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Assistant 911 Director, and currently Director for Pender County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center. I feel that my background in both 911 and Public Safety Communications will help me to be a valuable asset to the board as well as a voice for telecommunicators.
I am excited to have the support of my immediate supervisor Major Mike Collier as well as Sheriff Alan Cutler while I pursue this incredible opportunity. Again, I am honored to accept the nomination.
The greatest honor of my law enforcement career has been serving the citizens of Cabarrus County as their PSAP Manager along with the great Communications Officials of this state. I take distinct pleasure in announcing my wish to continue serving North Carolina by placing my name on the ballot to be re-elected as Region E Ambassador for NC Chapter of APCO.
I am humbled by the recent request from you, as respected Communications Officials around the state, to pursue this position again.
I feel I have the experience and vision shared by the Officials of this state that will allow us to continue striving to be examples for 911 and telecommunications throughout the country. As members of this association, we are leaders and creators of the future for 911 communications.
I began my career in law enforcement 26 years ago and I am presently a Lieutenant assigned to the Communications Division for the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to being a sworn law enforcement officer, I act as the county’s PSAP Manager where we dispatch Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS. Working in the Communications Division has been very rewarding for me with the many projects and challenges we all face from day to day. I have been an APCO member for approximately 20 plus years and realized early the importance of the association and the benefits that being a member have afforded to me and my career. I also had the honor in serving as the 51st president of NC Chapter of APCO in the 2012-2013 term. In 2014 I wanted to further serve the Chapter and became the Region E Ambassador.
I respectfully ask for your support and your vote to elect me as NC Chapter of APCO Region E Ambassador this year. I vow to honorably continue serving you with the highest level of integrity and vision for the future. Thank you and I hope God will continue to bless you and your families.
Dear North Carolina APCO Members, please allow me to introduce myself. I am Stephanie Isbell, ENP and I am a candidate for Region E Ambassador. I have been with the City of Concord since June 2001 and currently serve as the Communications Center Manager. I enjoy serving the citizens of Concord, my co-workers and look forward to the opportunity to serve Region E and the NC APCO Chapter.
